How to Play Split Happens
Split Happens is a free daily word game. Start with three phrases, rearrange every letter, and build new valid English words without leaving any tiles behind.
Complete each tier
- Normal: rearrange every letter into valid English words.
- Hard: keep every word valid while meeting the puzzle’s extra rule.
- Perfect Split: satisfy both earlier goals and place the highlighted letters so they spell the featured word in order.
Move the letter tiles
- Click or tap a tile and then choose its destination.
- Drag tiles directly into place.
- Select two tiles to swap them, or double-click or double-tap to move a tile between the source and target boards.
- Keyboard players can type letters into open spaces, use Backspace to return a tile, and use Escape to clear a selection.
Hints, archives, and sharing
Hints can complete a row when you get stuck. The recent-puzzles archive lets you revisit earlier challenges, while leaderboards compare completed tiers. Share a result link so a friend can play the same puzzle and compare Perfect Splits.
